Good but a bit preachy
I enjoyed it but it sometimes felt like a mental health advertisement or something like that. Reader didn’t have much inflection.

Powerful family drama
This was a great read which tackled many issues that ordinary families face. No need for extreme circumstances here, just true-to-life people facing difficult circumstances, that challenge and change them. I loved the narrator’s voice, and I’m not sure it it’s just me, but it sounded like he mis-gendered characters quite a bit (saying ‘he’ when it should have been ‘she’.) Maybe it was the editing, or just my old ears !
