Although I wasn’t wanting to hear her story I really enjoyed it

Thought the ending was predictable but it was short and to the point so ok. It could be a woman thing but her story had me longing for bed time so I could hear more.

So much more than I expected

What a master story teller this author is. I experienced so many emotions from cheering for Sandy and then loathing and back to cheering. Quite an emotional ride, so much so, that I was glad when it was finished, my nerves were frazzled. I look forward to more DSI Grace stories.

Be careful what you wish for

I had watched the Grace series before I listened to this recording, so I was interested to hear Sandy's story as that was still a mystery. This book was hard to put down and, at times, hard to listen to. By the end I found it difficult to feel sympathy for Sandy who, I feel, was a narcissist who cared little or nothing for anyone else.
In my opinion the therapy sessions were long and tedious while adding nothing to the story.
I binge listened the last two hours and was not disappointed with the ending. I liked the Author's work and enjoyed the Narration. I will listen to more of his books.

It was worth the wait

To finally hear Sandy's story wrapped all of the books together. She was not the person I ever imagined her to be, and I think Roy would feel the same

What tight with crazy Sandy…

I watched the TV series and was always curious about what happened to Sandy as well. Peter James is a master story teller and the narrator was just perfect. She played the role so well. For a narcissist like Sandy the tone and pitch of the narrator was just spot on. Like many other listeners of this book, I went through an emotional roller coaster listening to this book. Earlier I had sympathy for Sandy initially but this changed to loathing. I just couldn’t believe a person could self obsessed, selfish, and self-indulging and have no regard for others. I know a book is good when as a reader, I feel so many different emotions about a character or characters in the book, so worth listening to.

Sandy's Story

Gemma Whelan's narration was great. I enjoyed this book. Some parts were a bit beyond belief. Actually quite a few things were a bit beyond belief. But Sandy is such a daft bat that you do end up believing them!!
