About this listen

Enjoy this short story by Mace Styx.

Especially when they were exposed to more people when they started schooling. Their fellow kindergarteners did not become an issue since they were all too young to judge. But the parents and a few teachers had thought of the twins as freaks of nature. They began to get harassed by the local tabloids and fanatics of bizarre scopes, until it became overwhelming and intolerable. Before their home could turn into a circus, they were forced to move out for the sake of their children.

The family decided to move to the city and start a new life. In order to keep the twins safe from the kinds of people they escaped from, they decided to keep their condition a secret. The twins attended their elementary school without anyone knowing their peculiar link with one another. Their personalities as individuals had also developed as they grew older. Jim became more attached to his mother, while James would often spend more time around their father. Their relationships with their new community were relatively better than before. The twins would even show their peculiarity as a form of parlor trick to their friends.
