سلطت الضوء في هذا الكتاب على قصة المراسل الصحفي العراقي «منتظر الزيدي» الذي رمى الرئيس الأمريكي جورج بوش بالحذاء أمام أعين الكاميرات والصحفيين، وما حدث في العراق من انتهاكات للإنسان العربي من قبل الاحتلال. كما تحدَّثت عن مؤامرةٍ تعرَّض لها الوطن العربي على مر السنوات السابقة، فكانت أحلام تقصد في كتابها حال الوطن العربي الكبير كلِّه، مُستخدمةً العراق كصورةٍ مصغَّرة لواقعٍ أليمٍ يعيشُهُ الوطن العربي بشكل عام. وبذلك يعتبر الكتاب وثيقة رسمية لأهم الأحداث السياسية العربية التي لا يصعُب نسيانها من ذاكرتنا.
