About this listen

Three women celebrate their birthdays.... 30. 40. 50. But this milestone birthday marks the start of a year that will change everything....

Ginger isn't spending her 30th the way she would have planned. Tonight might be the first night of the rest of her life - or a total disaster.

Sam is finally pregnant after years of trying. When her waters break on the morning of her 40th birthday, she panics: forget labour, how is she going to be a mother? Callie is celebrating her 50th at a big party in her Dublin home. Then a knock at the door midparty changes everything....

Nothing special

The book was well performed but the story was fairly mundane and a bit silly. It was okay for light entertainment but I would not highly recommend it.

Good storyline

The narrator sounds like Tarryn Brumfitt which kinda ruined it a little for me. As I found it really distracting having recently listened to the book Embrace.
The parts about the neighbours Ian and Julie had me cracking up laughing.
Overall I liked the story and the narration was good.

Loved it!!!

Great story of pain and growth. Of overcoming the obstacles life throws at you with a new vigor and strength. I loved how it all tied together beautifully at the end.

Lovely

Loved the separate then combined lives in this book. It kept my attention but had to concentrate as to who the characters were during the chapters.

I can't get enough of these novels.

Another awesome novel from Cathy Kelly, love this author. The narrator does a great job in telling the story.

Listen to hundreds of audiobooks in the past and this is my first review!!!

I laughed and I cried as the characters unfolded and shared their lives.
Beautifully read. Wonderfully written 💕

Sorry, I hated it.

I really tried to like this book and the narrator, but it was a slow story read slowly. The dialogue was redundant and much of the writing repetitive. I gave up.

Not a good book for a Cathy Kelly book

The narrator is mostly responsible for me not liking the book but the storyline was dull aswell.
