A thoughtful, captivating and ultimately uplifting novel from this uniquely talented author

Jasmine loves two things: her sister and her work. And when her work is taken away she has no idea who she is.

Matt loves two things: his family and the booze. Without them, he hits rock bottom.

One New Year’s Eve, two people’s paths collide. Both have time on their hands; both are at a crossroads. But as the year unfolds, through moonlit nights and suburban days, an unlikely friendship slowly starts to blossom.

Sometimes you have to stop still in order to move on…

Original and poignant, The Year I Met You will make you laugh, cry and celebrate life.

GOOD BOOK

Narrated really well although it took a lot for me to get into this one. Would try another Cecelia Ahern book though.

Beautiful

This is such a lovely book. The delightfully flawed characters are very endearing and the relationships and storyline are interesting and detailed. This book is a cross between chick lit and novel - easy to absorb but still retains depth and interest. Very enjoyable.

Not what I was expecting, in a good way

This wasn't what I was expecting, in a good way. A distinctive story that I very much enjoyed.

Not her best

The main character's description of everything she's doing, and I mean EVERYTHING, is tiresome. There's not really much of a plot either. I would steer clear. I read "The Marble Collector" a little while ago and found it much more enjoyable.

Not her best

I love Cecelia Ahearns novels but this one is not great. The end moral is great but the way it was written was frustrating. The narrator is ok but you can often hear her mouth getting dry and she has a monotone quite often.
