About this listen
Number seven in the entire Amazon store
He’s my best friend’s brother.
My new boss.
And now my fake husband.
Knight Warren. The country’s most sought-after heartthrob, and retired military vet, is my complete opposite. He's grumpy where I’m sunshine. Surly where I’m...happy-go-lucky. He’s the hardened ex-soldier. I’m still trying to find my calling. The only thing we have in common is that we both love his sister...who’s also my best friend. So when she asks me to help Knight find a wife, I can’t say no. Turns out he'll inherit his father’s empire as long as...he gets married within the next month.
I agree to work as his assistant and interview the women who apply for the position. But Knight hates every one of them. With the deadline drawing close, he proposes I marry him. In return, he’ll pay off my debts and take care of my mother’s medical treatment.
Only he has conditions—I need to pretend I belong to him, be in a fake marriage with him...for an entire year! But what happens when the chemistry between us ignites? Forced to live under his roof, I know I’m falling for him. As the days pass, I begin to think he reciprocates my feelings. Until he introduces me to his real wife....
This is a billionaire, forced-proximity, one-bed, boss-employee, fake-relationship, and a best-friend’s-brother novel. It is a complete stand-alone.

WOW this is hot hot hot & that plot twist tho
"The Wrong Wife" by the gorgeous L. Steele, featuring my favourite Brit: the legendary Shane East as Knight and the sensational Aure Nash as Penny, is a true gem and an absolute must listen that left me utterly captivated.
It was an absolute treat to have my all-time favourite Brit, Shane East, take on the role of Knight, while the exquisite Aure Nash portrayed Penny. I loved her portrayal of Penny's sweet sunshine character.
Let me just say, Aure Nash's British accent is beyond amazing – it’s authentic and utterly captivating. My girl crush on both her and Penny is strong at this point –just WOW!💖 Shane East, as expected, delivered a stellar performance. I loved him as Declan in the The Bound, but as Knight, he just elevated this performance to new heights! He consistently outperforms – I love that about Shane, you know you are getting 110% every time- you can hear it and this is why he is such a fan favourite.
L. Steele's storytelling is pure magic in this. I adored following Penny's journey as she ticked off her bucket list, and particularly the subtle references to star signs added an extra layer and something unique to the narrative. Knight, while at times challenging to love, and with his own layers of complexity, was portrayed with such authenticity and depth. His struggle to feel worthy of love and the trauma he carries from his service as a Marine really struck a chord with me, as I have family members who are veterans facing similar challenges. This depth to his character, is what makes him all the more compelling.
Speaking of Compelling, I was not ready for that mind blowing plot-twist!! I never saw that coming. L. Steele's narrative prowess left me in awe, and I couldn't applaud her enough – Bravo!
So the final verdict: this was an absolute delight and a must-listen. I simply couldn't get enough of. L. Steele, Shane East, & Aure Nash have created an unforgettable experience that I know I'll return to for repeat listens. It's a journey filled with love, growth, and unexpected twists, all wrapped in a relatable narrative. It's a testament to the power of storytelling and outstanding performances in narration, and it has earned a special place in my heart. Bravo!! All the stars!
