Publisher's Summary

The first audiobookin the sparkling new Callahans of Stringybark Creek Trilogy.

It had been two long years since Lincoln Callahan had found himself in front of the gates to Stringybark Creek. He was in the army then - a lifetime ago. Linc had always been the unsettled Callahan, looking for danger, the one who couldn't wait to leave the family farm. This time he was back for his little sister Hadley's wedding. From far and wide, the Callahan relatives were streaming towards Stringybark Creek.

Linc's little brother, Griffin, was the steady son, the one who stayed at home, the one who did the right things. And now, the one who had feelings for city girl Cash Sullivan. For Cash, the offer to manage her best friend's luxury beauty spa tucked away in the country had come at the right time. She knew she needed to make smarter choices in her life, starting with the men she dated, and an enforced break in the country seemed the right way to consider her options.

When Linc sets eyes on Cash at a family dinner, their swift attraction floors him. But Cash is his brother's girlfriend...what was he thinking?

As Linc, Griff and Cash form an uneasy triangle, all of them have personal demons to face before they can open their hearts.

Thoroughly enjoyable romantic story ❤

An engaging story in itself that also peaked my interest about the other family members stories. I will be looking forward to reading them next.

Great but slow to start till about chapter 9

I found this book very slow to start but I stuck with it because I love the author. I read lots of her books. Once it got going around chapters 8 or 9 it picked up and I really enjoyed it after that but at the beginning I almost gave up and started a different book but now that I've just finished this one I am planning on starting the 2nd in the series.

Stick with it at the beginning, it gets better. I also really loved the narrator. I thought she did a great job!!

Fantastic book

Loved the story! Only downside - which almost stopped me listening - was the narrator’s ‘blokey’ voice for the men - particularly Linc, as it sounded so bogany and lacking in intelligence and sexiness!

Sibling rivalry

Cash is managing her friends beauty spa. Griffin, the farmer on Stringybark, looks at Cash as a suitable wife.
The attraction is one sided.
When Lincoln returns home, Cash finds that “Spark,” but it causes more tension between the brothers.
Cash has a past. She is worried her past will mar her desired future.

One click.

I am loving this Author. I have just stumbled upon this author. Loved the story from start to end. How she was starting over and he was trying to grips with his past that he hadn’t dealt with. It was just a warm romance that left me wanting more.
Narration was awesome too.

Warming

Believable family relationship drama that we can relate to! Yes predictable but well covered social mental health topics.
