Really enjoyed this
Thank goodness a book that’s interesting right from the start.
If you’re after bombs, car chases, action man - you’ll be disappointed. If you want love stories, mystery or murder, you’ll be disappointed.
This is an intriguing fantasy set in real life of a man who becomes a butler to a millionaire in a mansion, and that millionaire thinks he’s a wizard. There’s fine funny stuff goes on. More a family drama than a Harry Potter. I loved it. Can’t wait until the next one - Hurry up Nathan!!

Great story and narration.
I really enjoyed the story and the only downside I can think of was it finished way too quick. Also the next book is not ready, can’t wait till it is.

Superb narration, unique story
I so, so enjoyed the story! For a relaxed delve into the life of another, it kept me interested. It can trick you, just a little, and the details are not all unimportant. Enjoyed the calm and collected characters. Narration was excellent. I hope there is a next book!

A unique delightful story
This is a relaxing enjoyable story that integrates unique and interesting characters in a world where just a little ‘magic happens’. I listen to it often.

Something different in the fantasy genre.

wierdly engaging...
Not high literature, but if vol. 2 had been available, I would have bought it.
A reasonable intro volume, it feels like a deeper insight into this magical world and development of characters may follow. And, I kind of just love Mulligan. I can relate to his acceptance of and assimilation to the magical ambience of this environs, and his welcome surrender of anger and adrenalin in the face of their comfort and quitetude.
I'm definitely interested to see how the series develops, too.

Need book 2
So nice to listen to a story that gets you in right from the start, no great magic feats, not swamped by a lot of characters just a wonderful easy to listen to story. Looking forward to book 2 and where it might lead me.

I need a 6th star
I really enjoyed this excellent narration of just a really fun story very original I was totally expecting magical Batman and Alfred this is not that. I don’t really know how to described it other then really good but
