About this listen
Witches cometh.
The Wind Runner is visiting Riverfarm, and Emperor Laken Godart couldn't be happier. Summer has arrived on Izril, and with it, trouble is brewing. The prosperity of the Unseen Empire has brought both enemies and unlikely allies to the north. A coven has descended upon Riverfarm, seeking a grand bargain with the [Emperor].
However, all of Ryoka and Laken's mettle may soon be tested, for these are no ordinary [Witches]. Where there is weakness or desperation, opportunity arises. Beware the [Witches] because they belong to old ways and even older magic.
Beware offending them because for [Witches]—everything is personal.

Love this series.
The lore of the world is amazing, im always waiting for whats next. It can feel long at times but few stories can give so many remember full characters that even I a sive for a brain know there names.

So good
Wondering in series is amazing. It’s a slow burn to start with but as it progresses it gets better and better with each book. I’m looking forward to the next instalment.

Another thread was spun...
Another thread. Another story. One well told with rich new character and glimpse of something beyond the horizon.
But I have to think, is the tapestry of the story not getting too large? So many stories, yet the main thread - the overarching story seems lacking.
Each book is more of a short story unto itself instead of a grand epic in the works. the author catches these immortal moments perfectly, but a moment does not make a story. Deep and rich characters, and make no mistake this was a fantastic book. But it lacks one thing - decent progression.

One of my favourites from the series
HOWEVER, you DON’T use baking powder in bread! Dead gods! You can use them in quick breads (scones etc,) but they are a poor substitution for any yeast (wild or not), and as such, its use is uncommon. Baking powder is certainly not what makes bread from “our world” rise better.
