A fascinating fairy tale

George MacDonald writes great books. I so enjoyed this Novel, or fairy tale, it was a great story.

A forgotten classic

With so much coddling of children and worrying about their ‘self esteem’ this book was a breath of fresh air. It deserves to be far more widely known. The best children’s books have messages for their parents too
