Publisher's Summary

The Whole Truth by David Baldacci is a terrifying global thriller that delivers all the twists and turns, emotional drama, unforgettable characters and can't-stop-listening pacing that Baldacci fans expect – and still goes beyond anything he’s written before.

I NEED A WAR . . .

A powerful arms dealer

Nicolas Creel is a man on a mission. As the head of a major arms vendor, he is plotting a ruthless plan to supercharge his company’s profits by triggering a new cold war – and he won’t let anyone stand in his way.

An intelligence agent

Meet Shaw, a man with no first name: a shadow operative working for a multinational organization that seeks to keep the world safe from men like Creel.

An ambitious journalist

Desperate to rebuild her disgraced reputation and rise to the top of her profession, Katie James gets the break of a lifetime when she finds herself on the same path as the mysterious Shaw.

Drawn into stopping Creel’s terrifying plans, Shaw and James face a catastrophic threat that could change the world as we know it . . .

Political thriller written by the numbers

Fast pace and mostly enjoyable. The niggling relationship between the main character and the token journalist was over the top and a little annoying.
The narration grated me a bit.

Same old, same old!!!

I have liked Baldacci, but sick of him now. Need a change of genre. His stories have too much of a sameness to them for me.

routine

Fairly routine, formulaic story . Nevertheless an enjoyable tale, the most irritating aspect is the apallaling accents of the presenter. in particular the British.
