Exceptional Book
What an amazing book!
Dr Heisers depth of scholarly insights and knowledge into areas of the bible that are just simply not taught and ignored within mainstream Christianity is incredible. The book opens up the Bible in expounding indepth how God is orchastrating human history from begining to end in bringing about His purposes and will for His glory in both the seen and unseen relm and how He deals with human and spiritual free will and opposition. It has revolutionised my way of understanding and reading the Bible.

Thanks Michael for putting this book together.
I’ve grew as a Pastors Kid, and know a lot of scripture but this book has humbled brought clarity and confronted heaps of things in my belief system.May God bless you

So much to think about!
This book has challenged my way of thinking about and interpreting scripture as an ordinary person. It certainly has opened my understanding of the historical world view. It reminds me that no matter how much I think I know and understand, there is still so very much more that God wants us to know.

A must read for anyone who dares to ask of the bible, why?
Heiser does a great job forcing us to read the bible text from ancient Jewish lens, its original context. Not from our computer screen lens which has sadly discarded so much of the richness of the bible. All the while preserving the supremacy and divinity of Christ!
Now I understand why there are so many deities and recognisable oral traditions in India and countries in south east Asia, a region I’m very familiar with.

Eye Opening
Fantastic, it has striped away many stereotypical aspects of Christianity that are untrue from my childhood. The linguistics side is fascinating and opened my mind to the different mindsets of the ancient Hebrews, showing us how the wrote scripture which is uncomfortable for us today because of the false stereotypes. Highly recommended for everyone especially Christans, as I believe it will reinvigorate your theological passion , desire and understanding of who God is.
