Howie’s group disembark from the Isle of Wight, but when the ferry they take breaks down they climb aboard a Royal Navy supply vessel at anchor outside Portsmouth Harbour to find a huge horde of undead. We meet Maddox and a group of council estate children who have survived the apocalypse by taking refuge in a cannabis plantation.
When a horde of undead attack the children, Howie tries to save them only to find they turn on him. Eventually a truce is called, and an uneasy alliance begins to develop.

Love it, Can't get enough
I can believe how good these books are. RR Haywood is bloody brilliant, must read all these books again

Great Story, worth the listen
great charecters and well thought out. high attention to details make it realistic while still staying approachable and easy. I'm really impressed with this author and think it's worth spending time on!

enjoyable but not as good
stories 1-4 kept me wanting more. this one wasn't as great, I stopped and started it numerous times and skipped through parts. it's great to see howie and Dave are still alive and their group are a real united battle team now. I'm hoping no.6 will be faster paced and more interesting to keep the story entertaining.
