About this listen
It is the morning after the storm. Thick fog covers everything. In the stifling, claustrophobic atmosphere, Howie and his group head out for supplies.
Skirmishes and tense fights take place and there are messages left in blood at key sites: 'he's coming'. As the day progresses, Howie becomes increasingly darker in thought, and more demanding of his team. By the end of the day they have discovered a munitions factory, but can Howie hold it together?

Still good but grating
Some of the new voices are a bit slow and irritating in comparison to before. Hard to get used to..

Great story
I love this series. Great characters. Humour in all the right places.
I get that sometimes you can’t use the same narrator but what’s with making Dave and Nick into some kind of Gomer Pile. Made it difficult to listen to and made me hesitate to read any more

Change of narrator
Still a good good story, however the change in narrator is hard to get used to.

Loved it
Despite the negative reviews about change of narrator I found that not listening for a few weeks to the books I was able to get back into the story and not be affected by the narrator. It is still a brilliant story and whoever reads it cannot change that. So on to the next one a d looking forward to it.

Fantastic series reading let this one down
I love this series. great story good character's.
Disappointed in the new narrator :(
I understand diffrent people read differently.
but this interpretation of Nick and Dave makes them sound like their both mentally challenged the way they speak.
Dave isn't slow or anything he is autistic and has aspergers not learning difficulty.
Nick is dyslectic again not challenged.
and the ladies voices don't suit them at all.
made it hard to listen too to be honest.

Not mad .....just disappointed
Don't let this somewhat negative review change or sway your mind it's just something to think about before you invest yourself in this series from the start......the story and writing is absolutely fantastic and can't stress enough the skill of R. R. Haywood and the way he can make an already over written genre seem so original, every book from 1-10 had me on a knife's edge and craving more, this (along side the Mountain Man series) is my favourite and comes highly recommended, although......the change of narrator is very unsettling, purely because we became so attached to the way Dan Morgan kept the personality of our characters so well throughout his stint of this series. My hat goes off to you sir. I also don't want to come across negative towards Joe Jameson in his portrayal of our team either as I know it must be hard to take over a role like that. All and all I will keep listening and hopefully through the series as this is truly a brilliant story. Thank you to everyone involved, new and old.

new reader
I'm not sure why but the new reader makes Paula and Dave sound so dumb. I much preferred other reader .. I keep going because I'm enjoying the series but just not quite as much

AMAZING Series
books 1-10 hard me hanging off every word when I was listening, I loved everything about them, the engagement had me hooked straight away and it's hard for me to get engaged to a series.
I bought the 11th book, nothing against the narrator but his not for the series, I can't finish the series because I'm thrown off, he ruined Dave and Nick and they were my favourite characters!
I hope the rest of the books get redone by the original narrator so I can 1 day relisten to the series and finish it

Why would you read Dave like this?
Mind boggling.
Must have never listened to the previous narrator, who was excellent.
Has ruined the series, will not purchase any further than book 11.
