Publisher's Summary
My greatest enemy has always been myself. Over the past few weeks, I've painstakingly put my broken pieces back together, from the dark mysteries of my past to the heartrending conflict of my present.
But just when I finally start to feel whole again, everything around me falls apart.
Lallakai, the newly ascended Queen of Shadow and Death, betrays us and takes Zak prisoner. Echo, the powerful fae I thought would help save Zak, threatens to kill me. And Ríkr's nemesis, the ruthless Summer Queen, is hunting him again.
With the four ancient fae poised to battle for supremacy, I'm the only one who can prevent a catastrophic clash of their power. But stopping them will require more than druidic magic. It'll take an act of destruction as devastating as they are.
I'm about to test the strength of my scarred heart, and if I fail, I'll end up destroying everything—and everyone—I'm most desperate to protect.

Great end
Although this book kept you guessing it just felt a little dragged on in some parts.

Satisfying conclusion
There was a lot going on in this book. Storylines were concluded, there were appearances by characters from other Guild Codex series, there was character growth all around and an ending I loved. As always the narrator did a superb job.

Disappointing and Predictable
i was really hoping for a nice original tird book, alas, it was not to be.
Continuing on from a very structured 'cliffhanger' style ending from the last book, Sabre's Druid abilities continue to improve to those of a seasoned veteran in a matter of weeks.
The story then follows a predictable and, at times, familiar line.
Now, Zac's emotional range is suddenly broadened beyond belief.
The ending seems forced and wraps up in another familiar narrative.
Cris Dukehart did a marvellous job as she does in this series.

Enjoyable
I've found this series to not be as good a others but I still enjoyed it. The fight scenes go on for too long so I find my mind wandering. It's a good side story of the Ghost with a cute ending.
