Publisher's Summary

Richard Bandler, co-creator of NLP and the man who inspired Paul McKenna to greatness, collaborates with Alessio Roberti and Owen Fitzpatrick to reveal how to unleash your true potential and transform your life.

Richard Bandler – the world-renowned co-creator of NLP who has helped millions around the world change their lives for the better – has teamed up with Italian NLP Master Trainer Alessio and co-founder of the Irish Institute of NLP Owen, to craft a simple yet engaging story of one man’s personal change and discovery, to help readers understand the remarkable principles of NLP.

Inspiring and easy-to-read, this fable recreates the experience of being at a workshop with Bandler. Rather than explaining the theories, An Introduction to NLP illustrates the principles and simple techniques that Bandler has developed over the past 35 years in action.

This inspirational book gives you the tools to change your life, overcoming the things that are holding you back: your phobias, depression, habits, psychosomatic illnesses or learning disorders.

Through the simple techniques of NLP, you too can become a strong, happy, successful person and achieve your goals.

Useful introduction to Neurolinguistic Programming

An engaging narrative from the perspective of an attendee at a Neurolinguistic Programming seminar.
Owen Fitzpatrick a great narrator.
Gives a few simple, easy to learn, and useful techniques to break unhelpful thought patterns, and introduce a more constructive and joyful attitude.

an okay intro into NLP

This is a basic intro into NLP, told through people attending a one day intro course. My first NLP book which for me had some good take home exercises. I liked that aspect of it and i have experienced how these exercise can help. One exercise I like was a visualization one that i can only explain as it sped up the process of being over a problem, kind of actively placing it in past.
Wasn't a huge fan of the story aspect or characters but the general message and take homes were good. 3 stars an alright intro

Worst book I’ve read

I couldn’t wait to read this book but the way it’s written out me off, I tried really hard to give it a chance but I couldn’t listen any more.

The way this book is written is so hard to follow, it is written like a person is telling you what happen at a convention, there was to much, “I said” “then she said” “and I said”.

This book put me off buying any other NLP book.

Very interesting, but overly basic and brief introduction

Not enough info. The book is way too short and contains too little information. The story telling style, whilst very easy to listen to, further waters down this very short book. There's really only about thirty minutes of content in this book.
