Publisher's Summary
Random House presents the audiobook edition of The Truth of Melody Browne, by Lisa Jewell.
Melody Browne can remember nothing before her ninth birthday. Now in her early 30s, Melody lives in the middle of London with her 17-year-old son. She hasn’t seen her parents since she left home at 15, but Melody doesn't mind. She’s better off on her own.
And then fragments of her past start to come back. At first her memories mean nothing to her, but slowly, day by day, she begins to piece together the real story of her childhood.
But with every mystery she solves, another one materialises; with every question she answers, another appears. And Melody begins to wonder if she'll ever know the truth about her past....

Another Great Read by Lisa
I just can’t seem to get enough of Lisa Jewel and her storytelling. Whilst this wasn’t a favorite, it was definitely still a great read.

Fantastic read.
This has been my favourite story written by Lisa, I have read five of her books so far and this one was excellent!

Two timeliness worked well to add mystery
I enjoyed the telling of the story over two timelines and thought it added more depth to the characters. I eagerly listened to the story and though it was sad I was satisfied with the ending.

Good and not so good
The story was interesting enough with lots being revealed as the book unravels. The thing that marred the whole thing and ending for me was how spectacularly cruely the adoptive parents were portrayed.

Was glad I saw it through
I really struggled with this book for a start, it seemed to take a long time to get me trapped in. I nearly gave up half way through but after reading all the good reviews I decided to stick it out. I did enjoy it in the end, some things were a bit far fetched( the amount of tragedy one person had been dealt). Otherwise it was very different story.

Not her best
I liked the characters, but overall found it just a 'triumph over rough start to life' kind of story with a sickly sweet ending, without the clever twists and turns of her usual stories. Definitely not a bad book tho!
