Publisher's Summary

Only six men in history have amassed one trillion dollars. Solomon, King of Israel, was one of them. This is his story.

Solomon was a direct descendant of Judah, one of the 12 sons of Jacob (Jacob was also known as "Israel"). Jacob loved his wife Rachel, but his other wife Leah had to fight for his attention. Leah gave him three sons to gain his love. She named her fourth son Judah when this did not work. "Judah" means "he will be praised". She said, "This time, I will praise the lord." This naming signified that she would praise God even if she never won the affection of her husband.

Israelite kings, including David and Solomon, descended from the tribe of Judah. Jesus Christ was also a descendant of Judah. In his Revelation, John describe Jesus as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the Root of David.

The Judeans were wealthy. Money was the fruit of his family tree. There was no estate tax to erode the family's wealth as it passed from generation to generation. So Solomon was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
