Narrator
I enjoyed the story very much, but found the narrators noisey pauses very annoying, her mouth seems to get dry, but the wet noises come from that I think !

Compelling story
A spellbinding story brilliantly told by Nicolette McKenzie. Totally satisfying and I can’t wait to listen to the next book in this series

Very Enjoyable
I listened to the whole series and thoroughly enjoyed it. Really enjoy Anna Jacobs books and I loved that there were characters from other series included.

Excellent narration
Loved this book. Superb characters drawn out with sensitivity by the narrator. A vivid picture of another time and place which made compelling listening.

Annoying recording
I love Anna Jacobs books but this story was a bit weak. Mainly the ending but I guess there’s more in the series. What I found really distracting was the recording. I could hear the narrator swallowing, licking her lips, and breathing. I know they are normal things for a person to do but to hear it in my ears so loudly was like nails on a chalkboard.
