Love these books, but not the narrator

These are fun.. good plots, humour, a book to read to just escape. However I'm not sure why the narrator gets good reviews. I find him lazy.. he's the same stoic character with the same inflections and attitude. Another review described him and 'stuffy and pompous' and I agree, but would add 'one-dimensional'.
I wait between books so that I can have a break from the narration before diving in again.

A bit of historical fun

Great story that echoes in my mind. The romance is a bit boring and I don’t know why Percy loves silly Heathcliff.
The narrator is shocking. It’s a pity an actor with a true deep voice isn’t used instead of Sam Dewjurst -philips who’s voice is just so pretend.

Fun cozy series

An excellent episode in this very fun cozy series. Fantastic palette cleanser between those ‘heavier’ reads.
