About this listen
Can true love ever die? The first novel in a beautiful, heartbreaking new trilogy from Paullina Simons, the international bestselling author of Tully and The Bronze Horseman.
Julian lives a charmed life in Los Angeles. Surrounded by friends, he is young, handsome, and runs a successful business. Everything changes after he has a fateful encounter with a mysterious young woman named Josephine.
Julian's world is turned upside down by a love affair that takes him—and everyone else in his life—by storm. For the two new lovers, the City of Angels is transformed into a magical playground.
But Josephine is not what she seems and carries secrets that threaten to tear them apart—seemingly forever.
A broken man, his faith in tatters, Julian meets a mysterious stranger who tells him how to find Josephine again if he is willing to give up everything and take a death-defying trip from which no one has ever returned.
So begins Julian and Josephine's extraordinary adventure of love, loss, and the mystical forces that bind people across time and space. It is a journey that propels Julian toward an impossible choice which will lead him to love fulfilled ... or to oblivion.
The Tiger Catcher takes listeners from the depths of despair to the dizzying heights of joy in the first novel of an unforgettable trilogy of love lost and found. For all fans of Outlander, The Time Traveler's Wife and Jojo Moyes.

Not really what I expected
I’m not sure how I feel about this one. It was “ok” but a lot of the time I was wondering “where is this going?” Not even close to the Bronze Horseman. Narrator was average, I didn’t enjoy some of the accents he chose or his take on female voices.

Dissapointing
Do not expect the calibre of Bronzehorseman . I purchased the first 2 books of the trilogy in anticipation.
Cannot even get through the first. Returned the second without even playing a word.
Dreary , unbelievable, and not intriguing in any guise. Managed to listen to 6 hrs, gave up! Better things to listen to on audible.com

Romeo and Juliet meets Outlander
Another fantastic story from Paullina Simons. This is very different to the rest of her books. There is still a love story involved, with many obstacles to overcome but there is an element of sci-fi or fantasy, depending on what you believe our how good your imagination is. The retelling of history was amazing. I was hooked into the story line from the start and Jeremy Arthur is a brilliant narrator. I'll be interested to see where the story can go next!

Typical Paullina Simons
A classic Paullina Simons novel. Dramatic and a great love story. Loved it. A bit hard to get used to a make reading a female voice at first.

Absolutely loved it!
What a read, it had me from the start but got more and more exciting as the chapters went on. Paullina never disappoints, by far my most favourite writer of all time. Thanks

Well narrated but a little tedious
I usually love Paullina Simons works but this one , although extremely well narrated, just went on and on saying almost nothing. I hung in till the end out of respect for the author and the amazing narrator. Sigh.

Waiting for it to become enjoyable
I loved Paullina Simons Bronze Horseman trilogy. Whilst in this book she still creates this perfect love/ relationship, the premise and story is just plain weird. Afraid I was looking forward to it ending, and I won’t be reading/listening to the next two books.

The Tiger Catcher
Found it a struggle to engage with the story or understand where it was going. I chose not to finish the book.
