About this listen

Book II in The Third Genesis series.

Abaddon has come to the land of Avlo Wydrin. This archon of retribution descends from the heavenly cities, bringing fire and bloodshed to quell the chaos that befell those lands after the Battle of Buckwood. He learns of the deaths of Aeralim, a fellow archon, and Anton, the leader of the local chapter of the Inquisition. With his beloved Rhyparia by his side, he intends to purge the land of all wickedness and rain suffering upon all who defy the false gods.

Meanwhile, in Prometheus City, Joel starts to show signs of a sickness that afflicts seers. In time, he will be unable to tell the difference between his visions and current reality. Lo'akh, determined to help his brother any way he can, seeks a medicine that can help anchor seers in the present. When he learns that the man who makes the medicine has been captured by the Inquisition, Lo'akh joins a mission to rescue the man, though it will lead him into the wretched halls of the Black Stockade.
