About this listen
The first is Dominic Caruso, a rookie FBI agent, barely a year out of Quantico, whose decisive actions resolve a particularly brutal kidnap/murder case. The second is Caruso's brother, Brian, a Marine captain just back from his first combat action in Afghanistan, and already a man to watch. And the third is their cousin...a young man named Jack Ryan, Jr.
Jack was raised on intrigue. As his father moved through the ranks of the CIA and then into the White House, Jack received a life course in the world and the way it operates from agents, statesmen, analysts, Secret Service men, and black ops specialists such as John Clark and Ding Chavez. He wants to put it all to work now, but when he knocks on the front door of "the Campus," he finds that nothing has prepared him for what he is about to encounter. For it is indeed a different world out there - and in here. And it is about to become far more dangerous.

Ok but not great
This story a little slow and meandering. Read poorly compared to others in the series. A necessary story to the series if you're a devotee however...

A gripping tale.
I enjoyed listening to this book very much but it was sadly spoiled by several repetitions, and I think I counted 5, repetitions of phrases during the reading. this does not reflect on the actual reading but reflects very poorly on the editing and or proofreading of this novel.
come on you people and do what you are paid to do!

Overall a good listen
Great Narrator, enjoyed the book. Editing was poor with many repeated sentances, which was distracting

Loops
Has over a couple of dozen loops where a sentence or two is repeated. Really annoying. And the narrator is a bit OTT.
Great book.

Good story poor production
I enjoyed the style and story but there were several sections where the words overlapped. Whole sentences repeated. It's just poor editing, but happens about 15 times in the version I heard.

average compared to the later books.
As much as I wanted to enjoy this, the pacing issues and less than acceptable production issues, such as repeating dialogue was too obvious.

Slow and drawn out.
Slow. Too much irrelevant details that killed the story. Not much action and too much mental annalise.
