Excellent addition to the series

I have binge listened to the DI Cross books & absolutely love them. I have become very fond of the main characters, especially George, and like the balance in the storylines of work & private lives. To be honest it has taken me 3 books to get used to this narrator (who is different from the original one) & this is the first book where I havent cringed at him mispronouncing words or getting who said what correct at various points.
There is something wonderful about having a main character with George's set of challenges as our hero & it is refreshing to stop & see social interaction through his lens. I love the way his team support him, even though he doesnt often realise it. All of these characters are growing & learning as the books progress & we do likewise alongside them. I'm already looking forward to the next book!

The latest in an excellent series. Engaging characters, clever plot lines with multiple twisting stories. Great narration. Can’t wait for the next book.

I’ll be sorry when I’ve listened to the last book in this series. I love all the characters especially George and his father. Maybe I’ve gotten used to this series but I did pick the killer fairly early in the story and the only other down side is the narrator over pronounces words sometimes but otherwise is very good.
