About this listen
Kate Fullerton, talented tea designer and now co-owner of The Tea Chest, could never have imagined that she'd be flying from Brisbane to London, risking her young family's future, to save the business she loves from the woman who wants to shut it down.
Meanwhile, Leila Morton has just lost her job; and if Elizabeth Clancy had known today was the day she would appear on the nightly news, she might at least have put on some clothes. Both need to move on.
When Kate, Leila and Elizabeth's paths cross, they throw themselves into realising Kate's vision of the newest and most delectable tea shop in London, The Tea Chest. But with the very real possibility that The Tea Chest may fail, the three women are forced to decide what's important to each of them.
An enchanting, witty novel about the unexpected situations life throws at us, and how love and friendship help us through. Written with heart and infused with the seductive scents of bergamot, Indian spices, lemon, rose and caramel, it's a world you won't want to leave.

Epic tale of dreams
I really enjoyed this beautifully told story. Dreams can come true if you believe and never give up.

A very good cup of tea
Very good, well paste and interesting story. There is appropriate background and flashbacks. A very good read for anybody looking for a good story that is not some overdramatic impersonation of poor Australian soap opera.

Nice People to Spend Time With
I enjoyed this story despite wanting to shake some of the characters at times and yell 'due diligence'. They were almost all harmless and pleasant with all too human foibles, and even the villain had lots of sad stuff to make them that way, but I enjoyed their company for the hours I spent with them. But why the riots? That didn't seem to me to add anything much to the story, and as a hook for getting one person across the globe, struck a rare false note. The reader was terrific with differentiated accents - the few lines of dialogue the Scot said were really good.

Enjoyable story with likeable characters
Enough depth to get to know each character, and their relationships with each other through life’s ups and downs. Hard to put down.

Light hearted listen
An enjoyable story but I felt that the narrator hadn't heard an English accent before. Her plum in the mouth pre-war royalty take on Londoners was, frankly, irritating.
Also, felt that the author should visit places she writes about instead of relying on stereotypes which are out of date.
However, the info on teas was really interesting.

It's not good.
too many characters in the book, unnecessary for the story. character development is shallow, too much business talk but the characters behave carelessly + idiotically. then, the explanation for their actions were just - pressure, stress or simply they made a mistake? frustrating read. also another unnecessary flashback to Simone's childhood + background, it doesn't add to the story at all.

Chucked it in at Chapter 4
Just couldn't get into it.
Too many detailed descriptions and not enough ploy or character to grab me.

Silly and predictable
Had to read this for my book club, not my taste at all. Silly, far-fetched plot, silly characters and predictable happy endings for all.
