About this listen
When the cupboard is bare at the Flopsy Bunnies' burrow, the family all have to go in search of food. They soon find some old lettuces on Mr. McGregor's rubbish heap, but who can imagine the horrors that await them as they enjoy a nap after lunch!
Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny are two of Beatrix Potter's most popular characters, and they are brought together in this exciting tale of danger and friendship.

Who knew that lettuce could have such a "soporific effect" on young bunnies? This sequel to Beatrix Potter's renowned Tale of Peter Rabbit follows the sleepy, unnamed children of Benjamin Bunny and his wife Flopsy as they try to steal vegetable rubbish from garden supervillain Mr. McGregor. The charming performance of Joanna Daniell adds drama and suspense to a backyard animal tale that Potter wrote with not a negligible amount of influence from Uncle Remus (Br'er Rabbit, anyone?) and Aesop's Fables. Daniell's eloquent English accent is just as worthy of the BBC as it is of a bloodline of clever rabbits.
