About this listen
More mutated Australian wildlife than you can shake your beam rifle at....
When the System arrives, no one is ready. Most of all Kira Kent, plant biologist and single mum. She's pulling an all-nighter, her children in tow when her beloved wildlife begins to mutate.
No more cute koala bears, bouncy kangaroos, or fuzzy wallabies. Now, everything is mutated and aggressive? Who made the spiders so big? The world's most dangerous continent just got a lot more dangerous, and no one, not even the alien Galactics who arrive, are ready for it.
Kira is going to have to pull together a community of survivors to forge a safe zone for her son and daughter, figure out a long-term survival plan, and make nice with the aliens. Otherwise, she will see everyone and everything she has loved die.
The System Apocalypse: Australia omnibus edition includes the first three books in the series:
- Town Under
- Flat Out
- Bloody Oath
Set in the same universe as Tao Wong's The System Apocalypse and starts in the same time period as Life in the North but focuses on the changes in the deadliest of continents—Australia. Fans of the original series, LitRPG, fantasy, science fiction, and post-apocalyptic novels will want to take a look.

good narrator, story line good, encounters bad.
Loved the storyline and the narration including the voices by the amazing Heath Miller.
the encounters/fight scenes where always lacking. being distracted mid fight, petting a nose, kissing on the forehead and general discussion completely ruin it everytime.
loved the details and the voices even after cringing at the initial attempt at the accent, it does get better and grow on you throughout.
Worth it if you enjoyed the original system apocalypse series.

Meh
As an Australian I’m disappointed in this pseudo Aussie book.
Poor continuity.
Over use of outdated Australian slang
Love Andrea Parsneau as a narrator but she Can Not do an Australian accent.

not your normal apocalypse lit rpg (not in a good way)
I didn't finish the book after about 13 hours I couldn't take it anymore, I try to make it through a slow book or a book that doesn't do much for me but in this case I was unsuccessful. the main character is a mother and she tells you that very often to the point where it feels like that is all she is. I do get the importance of her being a mother and the situation she is in but 13 hours in and the only major secondary characteristics she has is her job and relationship status. this book will appeal to readers but I am not in that group
