About this listen
Flora is forced to move back to the tiny island of Mure from the bright lights of London. It's tough: even the beautiful landscapes and bright blue sea can't lift her spirits - she's too busy looking after her dad and her feckless brothers. Then she chances upon her mum's collection of recipes and begins to cook her way through it. As she reconnects with her family and the place she was born, might she also find herself?

Don’t want to finish
I haven’t finished this book yet but I love it soooooo much that I want to share it ASAP. I can just taste the food described and see the landscape. I even want to move there.

Good story
Loved the story it was fascinating I didn't really love the narration though it was very flat at times and boring.

Enjoyable Escape
This is my favourite of Jenny Colgan's novels, of which I own many. If you love the genre of escapism chick lit the formula of this book will be reassuringly familiar. Where it succeeds is imbuing that formula with genuine depth and warmth. The protagonist is honest, capable and perfectly imperfect. The setting is magical and the narrator is great. Would certainly recommend.

Not my favourite by Jenny Colgan
I half got into this, unfortunately I just didn't live it. Found sometimes the main character a bit annoying and some parts too cheesy. I really love a lot of Jenny Colgans books, but not this one. Also found the voice they put on for the little girl in here extremely annoying.

Disappointing
I found this book to be unrealistic, even by chick-lit standards! Usually that doesn't bother me but the characters here were not that interesting and the narration was pretty ordinary. Read the 'Little Beach Street Bakery' series instead.
