Editorial Review

Thrilling Dr. Jekyll reimagining
Get ready for an exhilarating experience with Audible's The Strange Case. As a lover of the classic, I was electrified to learn that the renowned creator of the John Wick franchise, Derek Kolstad, would reimagine this iconic story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde with a gender-bent twist. Vanessa Kirby, the brilliant star of The Crown, delivers a breathtaking performance in the titular role that will leave you gasping for air. This audio drama presents the duality of the character in a fascinating new light, keeping you on the edge of your seat. It's a must-listen, whether you're a classics buff or dramatic storytelling fanatic. —Kistal G., Audible Editor

Fun but silly

While I went for the ride, the twist of the classic story ended up being so far fetched that it veered into silliness and meta-angle that didn’t really work. Good performance though.

Excellent narration and easy to follow. Could not put this one down.

Disappointing ending, was a little too predictable. Was waiting for a twist. Excellent narration throughout, and a great tempo.

Completely mind blown

I had some idea of how this story could go, but the author delved us into a secret world, using the tale of Dr. Jekal and Hyde, turning it into something entirely new and plausible, showing how important our minds and identity can affect situations including relationships.

That was rather good

That was rather good. Often these audible radio plays are very c-grade. This was not.

Terrific production

A solid story with a wonderful re interpretation of Jekyll and Hyde. What truly are this apart is the fantastic performances and atmosphere. Although be warned. The sound effects were a bit gruesome in places.
