Mawkish
I listened to this because it followed on from The Story of Our Life, which I quite liked. It was quite awful. Long, over emotional, angst driven inner dialogues mixed with mawkish, clumsy, friendship scenes. On top of that was the absolutely unacceptable behaviour by Lu, which just kept getting repeatedly forgiven. To be fair, I stopped listening half way through, so perhaps the writing suddenly tightened up, stopped retelling the story of the previous book, and characters behaved more realistically. Doubt it, though.

Great characters
Beautiful story. Humorous and sensitive. Just delightful. Highly recommend this story to anyone who’s lost someone or who just likes being part of other people’s lives.

Absolutely amazing
Such a wonderful listen. Every emotion so clearly described and the characters funny and heartfelt. A wonderful listen.
