About this listen

The unauthorized story of Lululemon.

This is a book about ordinary people who took an opportunity to be creative, to be innovative, and to maximize their potential.

Chip Wilson’s part in this story comes from the learning of thousands of mistakes. He set the culture, business model, quality platform, and people development program and then got out of the way. Lululemon’s exponential growth, culture, and brand strength have few peers, and it is because of those employees who choose to be great.

This book is also about missed opportunity - five years of missed opportunity. Chip was playing to win while the directors of the company he founded were playing not to lose.

Honest, undiluted and actionable business book

Loved the honesty behind the author’s journey in building a global brand. For an aspiring creative it is great to hear all the nuances and the truths that are usually glossed over. Also great to see the bureaucracy that can dismantle something successful and growing. Lots of actionable insights as well. Loved it.

Amazing book, written by an outstanding visionary leader

Chip opens his heart to tell us not only about his professional experience and success as a leader, but to help younger like minded entrepreneurs and professionals to avoid mistakes he made and bad choices he may have took.

It definitely helped me keep dreaming and putting my effort on creating an outstanding brand that values people and culture.

Compulsory Reading for Business and Culture

This is one of the best business books you will ever listen to. Chip Wilson takes you through the rise and cultural fall of Lululemon blow by blow. So many lessons within this gem of a book and wonderfully read by the author himself.

Amazing Insight - Could not stop listening!

A review can not describe how good this Audiobook is. This audiobook was made even better as Chip Wilson was the one who narrates it, so you can truly understand how passionate he was about Lululemon as he articulates his emotions through the book. I felt as if the story was being told to me, like Chip was a friend.

A true insight into the growth of a company and owning an industry with no stone left unturned. Chip divulges into everything about his brand, from business models to property development and touches on books to read for leadership, cultural and personal growth. He informs you about his intentions and even his mistakes he has made along the way and how they affected his brand and his personal affiliation down the road.

A truly inspirational listen for any entrepreneur or aspiring brand builder. I could not recommend this book any more!
