Publisher's Summary
Complete six-book collection for one great price
From multiple-time Amazon number one best-selling author of over 40 books, Iain Rob Wright.
It's spreading....
The Scottish Highlands: a sparse, mountainous region some say was carved by the gods themselves. Few places are as untouched as this harsh, prehistoric landscape. It is no place for man. But nestled deep within the wilderness lies a cottage, and behind that cottage is a hill....
When Ryan Cartwright and a group of his closest friends hire a tiny cottage in the windswept Scottish Highlands to celebrate his upcoming wedding, they get more than they bargained for. Along with the deathly chill and the unforgiving landscape, they are about to discover something unimaginably ancient and unbelievably wicked.
With the party heating up, Ryan's childhood friend, "Mad fer it" Sean, fills his body with lager and pills, pushing everybody's patience to their limits, but the real party is yet to begin. You see, something else has gotten inside of Sean's bloodstream, something far more toxic than the booze and drugs. Something that is at first invisible, but slowly begins to grow...and spread...and kill.
If you love claustrophobic horror with an unhealthy dose of body-horror, then The Spread will knock your socks off. Get the complete six-book collection now and enjoy the entire story.

What great characters!
Apart from some pronunciation differences (between myself and the narrator) I absolutely loved this book

Personally loved it
A horror series which I’d love to see as a tv series done… Wright…. lol I had to.
But seriously, the first book as a standalone film would be amazing, or the whole series as a show would be a hit.
Well paced story with captivating characters, though don’t get too attached!

Oh MAN, so good!!
At first, the narrator's voice bothered me, but you get used to it. A nice original-ish take on the zombie virus (The Girl With All The Gifts also has fungus zombies) and a great mix of alien invasion, zombies and even friendly aliens. The heroics weren't over the top, there was barely any guns. Had me hooked from start to finish, once I got past the accent/s. Great stuff, will no doubt listen again in a year or two.

Fantastic book series that I was surprised to enjoy
Would be fair to say that this is not my usual audiobook choice. I tend to listen to non-fiction but was persuaded to give it a go because it was six for the price of one and I’m always up for a bargain. The characters were so well written and Aubrey Parsons, the narrator, did a truly magnificent job of an array of accents from the UK. I was dubious at the beginning of the series that I would be able to recognise who was speaking at any given time, but the performance was so flawless that I became very attached to the characters, due in no small measure to the consistency of the narrator’s performance. There were times during the 36 hours of listening when I couldn’t believe that I was getting so sucked in to this sort of story, but I was sufficiently hooked that I kept going. I think I might be a convert.

Aimed at young adults
I think this is for young adults.Lots of talk about good and bad, being good yourself, looking after one another and family, in fact it goes on and on in the last couple of books.
