A story of friendship and hope in the 1910’s. ❤️

Details of the store in the 1910’s, description of London at the time. Loved the story of Sally, Jenny, Maggie, Beth and Rachel. I can’t wait to start book 2 to see what happens next.

Great story

Just one star less for the American accent. It wasn't done well at all, but then it's rarely done well by the British.

Enjoyed this story by Rosie Clark and look forward to more of her books. Enjoyed the understanding of stocking and managing a large departmental store. Also the way friendships developed and how the sinking of the Titanic was bought into the story and how it touched the lives of the workers.Juliette Burton was delightful to listen to making this a great listen.Thank you Audible

Lovely if predictable tale

I listen to this as I paint and it was perfect. interesting fashion details, romance, and heartache all set in a bygone era. I found the characters very predictable but I still enjoyed it.

A gentle, pleasant listen

A pleasant listen - gentle pace, love the descriptions of the store and the items sold, as well as the innovative thinking of Sally. Solid, likeable heroines.

Once I started, I couldn’t stop.

As soon as I started this story, I immediately felt transported back to early 1900’s London. The descriptions of the characters, places, clothes and the store itself were so easy to picture in my mind. I’l definitely be listening to the other books in the series. I miss these inspirational ladies already!

Light hearted

This was fun to listen to. I enjoyed the characters as I thought of my mother living in this period of time. Light hearted and fun. Sorta wish men were that galant these days
