About this listen
Eliana is hurtling through space on board a Lasaran battleship and getting to know not one but two alien races. It's the most exciting adventure of her long life...until the ship is unexpectedly attacked. Amid the chaos, she valiantly helps everyone she can before an explosion renders her unconscious. When Eliana awakens, she finds herself alone, floating in space, clad only in a spacesuit, with no ship in sight.
Commander Dagon and the crew of the Segonian battleship Ranasura respond to a distress call from their Lasaran allies and join a massive Alliance-wide search-and-rescue mission. He quickly achieves communication with a lone Earthling female and races toward her. Every time they speak, he becomes more desperate to reach her before her oxygen supply runs out. Her strength, bravery, and humor entice him, even more so when she defies all odds and they meet in person.
As he and Eliana embark upon a quest to find her missing friends, a bond swiftly grows between them. But they are not the only ones searching for Earthling survivors. When Eliana herself becomes the hunted and their enemies begin to close in, can the two of them fight their way to victory?

So Good!
I love the Immortal Guardian books and this expansion into scifi is fantastic. The narrator does a perfect job too.
I've listened to it 2x so far, as well as reading the ebooks a few times 😍

Eliana the heroine captures your heart
An enjoyable storyline. The author builds the tension from the beginning. The characters are well rounded. The narrator brings the story to life.
There is a sense that the story is left hanging with possibilities not fully explored which could have added more depth to the storyline.

I had three problems with this book :
1. a boring love story - they had instant attraction that quickly grew into love, and neither of them ever got irritated or had any problem with the other, probably because
2. They were both so boringly perfect. Other than the woman’s dislike of needles, they had zero flaws or quirks. Naturally, they both excelled at everything they did. The doctor was the usual cliche - slightly grumpy, but with a soft heart and the Captain’s best friend. None of the other characters were given a personality.
3. The good aliens were basically just tall (6’6”) humans, with a couple of extra skills. Do I even have to mention that they are gorgeous? Whereas, the bad aliens were ugly and did not look human-like. *sigh*
Whilst there was some mild humour, it was not sufficient to coax a smile, let alone a laugh.
So... it was OK. Nothing special, but not terrible either. I won’t be looking for the rest of the series
