Publisher's Summary
"In this house we believe that: Black Lives Matter, Love Is Love, Gay Rights Are Civil Rights, Women’s Rights Are Human Rights, Transgender Women Are Women".
You may have seen signs with some of these messages in your neighborhood. They offer us an all-or-nothing package deal - in short, a secular creed. In this provocative audiobook, Rebecca McLaughlin helps us disentangle the beliefs Christians gladly affirm from those they cannot embrace, and invites us to talk with our neighbors about the things that matter most. Far from opposing love across difference, McLaughlin argues, Christianity is the original source and firmest foundation for true diversity, equality, and life-transforming love.

engaging and respectful
Well researched, a fair treatment of both sides. Another good book. Well worth a listen.

How to live well as an engaged Christian in a culture that rejects us.
Such a clear reflection on our western cultural perspectives through the lens of the Bible. So well discussed using human examples and challenging Christians to act Christianly as they respond/ live in a culture that they disagree with. How to treat people with grace and to find and offer hope in Jesus their Creator.

Good points, relatable content hopefully for all.
Good addressed topics, just speaks slightly too fast to take in great points and work through them. if she read slower and maybe fleshed out a few more of the examples would be a stronger book.
but love it for a short dive into addressing these concerns all on one.

Great book, well researched.
Ms McLauglin co vers the broad ground of these five claims verry well leaving little to help broader understanding of these life principles.

OUTSTANDING
A book that has challenged me to love Jesus and follow in his footsteps more closely. Rebecca's knowledge and concise presentation of truth is a gift and her reading is first class.

For all Christians wishing to think well and engage on current issues.
I loved how Rebecca calls us as Western Christians to repent and see how our failures have caused some of the challenges we now face.
She clearly shows how we can’t resolve these issues without the Gospel and how we can’t run away or dismiss them either.
The format is good for revisiting particularly issues and each chapter finds itself somewhere between basic and comprehensive understanding.
My only caveat is the audio quality is not as high as other audiobooks. If that’s a huge issue for you, I would recommend buying the kindle or physical book instead.
