About this listen

Duet narration by

From the author of The Wrong Bride and The Temporary Wife comes another steamy and angsty billionaire arranged marriage romance.

When the woman he'd desperately been looking for crashes into him and spills her drink all over his shirt, Lexington seizes the unexpected opportunity — demanding six rounds of Truth or Dare as compensation.

An evening filled with laughter and a connection he never wanted to feel ends in her walking away — without even leaving him her phone number.

Raya thinks she'll never see him again, until he shows up as her professor, offering her class the opportunity of a lifetime: an internship at Windsor Motors.

What Raya doesn't realize is that none of their meetings were coincidental — and she's the sole reason he took up a teaching position at all.

After all, Lex knows something she doesn't: the two of them are arranged to be married.

Not as bad I thought it would be

Based on some of the negative reviews thought I would share mine. Storyline was a little unexpected and I can understand Lex’s trauma. Overall I enjoyed the listen - agree the male narrator was great , the female narrator was ok but not as difficult to listen to as some other narrators I’ve experienced. Overall narration was probably not as good as the previous books but still a good performance.

Not it

I loved all the books in this series so far. This should not have been written. The guy is a red flag. The narration is a different story. The guy did an amazing job, carried it. The female on the other pronounced names weirdly but said them correctly for some people. She lacked emotion on some pretty tough scenes. Overall it was okay. I'm excited for the sister's story because it's going to be interesting.

It was okay

This book started out promising, however once you get deeper into the novel it starts to become sporadic, I honestly struggled to understand what was going on at some points of the story due to the rushed and unfinished writing. It'll go from one event to the next and then the next without finalising the previous stories plot, It is evident the author had numerous ideas she was wishing to execute for these two characters in terms of character and story development. However, I believe it's had the opposite effect and left the book feeling scattered.

In terms of the narrators, although the male was incredible in terms of emotiveness, I couldn't help but feel like he sounded much more mature than the female narrators ( I am unsure if this was the intention) The female narrator was okay, but i did find her emotionless when attempting the more serious scenes of the novel, which did not help the novels already all over the place story.
