About this listen
Meet Adrian Mole, a hapless teenager providing an unabashed, pimples-and-all glimpse into adolescent life. Writing candidly about his parents' marital troubles, the dog, and his life as a tortured poet and 'misunderstood intellectual', Adrian's painfully honest diary is still hilarious and compelling reading thirty years after it first appeared.

"We laugh both at Mole and with him. A wonderful comic read, that, like all the best comedy, says something rather meaningful." (Heat)

Sensitively written
Sincerely care about Adrian and his family and friends. I wish i knew them. Human beings with human traits and frailties.

Sicth!
The narrator can't say the word "sixth" to save himself. And it comes up a surprising number of times in this book. Down with sicth! it's killing me. I adore the book in general though and I'm enjoying the performance, (apart from sicth).

Funny and a good pick me up
Entertaining. Funny. Dramatic.
Loved the style of writing. It takes you back to teenage awkward times and explores the dramas and challenges of being a teenager in a beautiful clever way.
