About this listen
Ask any new parent; no one is ever actually ready to become one, are they? Even with nine months to prepare, it's still a shock. Still mind-blowing that this tiny, little thing is now your sole responsibility.
Except try coming home to find a baby on your doorstep, wearing a pink striped hat and attached to a note saying she belongs to you. Then you can say parenthood is a shock.
Overnight my bachelor life ceased to exist; my heart now owned by one woman. My daughter.
Until Kit Hawkes knocked on my door; the sexiest nanny in existence and every single dad's nightmare. A not-so-welcome gift from my meddling, interfering sisters.
The more time we spend together, the harder it becomes to resist her. Resist her infectious charm, chocolate brown eyes, and mouth that looked like it was made for kissing.
No matter what my heart wants, Kit doesn't belong to me. She belongs to my daughter.
Because I can't have both, can I?

Bad male narrator
Male narrator didn’t get the role quite right. Kinda felt like it was a news story rather than a romance book.

Male narrator not a good fit. DNF audio version. Try the Kindle version instead.
I purchased the book and bought the audio for Whispersync. I have now abandoned the audio and will continue with the book in Kindle.
I have the same issue another reviewer had.. the male narrator isn't a good fit for this book. He sounds too immature, and finished each sentence with an inflection. It was also the sort of delivery you'd go for with humour rather than responsible new father trying to cope with a new born. Doesn't make him seem like the business giant, highly educated, striking man described.
Didn't fit with a romance either.
I'm still confused about why. I listened to other samples of his narrations and he didn't seem to be like this on those I heard.
Anyway I almost abandoned the book itself. Fortunately I didn't as that is t so bad so far in Kindle.
