**NOW A MAJOR PRIME TV SERIES STARRING ALAN RITCHSON**

The gripping new Jack Reacher thriller from the No.1 bestselling authors Lee Child and Andrew Child.

Chicago. 1992. A hospital patient wakes to find two strangers by his bed.

They show him a list of names and ask a simple but impossible question. Minutes later he falls to his death from his twelfth-floor window - a fall which generates some unexpected attention.

That attention comes from the Secretary of Defense, who calls for an inter-agency task force to investigate. Jack Reacher, recently demoted from Major, is assigned as the Army's representative. If he gets a result, great. If not, he's a convenient fall guy.

Reacher may be an exceptional military investigator, but office politics aren't what gets him up in the morning. As he races to identify a cold-blooded killer and uncover a secret that stretches back 23 years, he must navigate around his new partners.

Will Reacher bring the bad guys to justice the official way . . . or his way?

Although the Jack Reacher novels can be listened to in any order, The Secret is the 28th audiobook in the internationally bestselling series.

The Secret was a No. 1 Sunday Times bestseller in October and November 2023.

‘Jeff Harding’s [...] narration captures Reacher’s character perfectly [...] you have to savour every minute.’ The Sunday Times

Early reacher

Good to see Reacher dealing with life in the army and still cutting through the institutions blocks.

Not quite there

Not quite as good as previous books. A little lacklustre.
Narration, as usual was excellent.

Not bad

I sort of was wondering if this story would go through how the character of Jack Reacher was formed, still waiting

Ok but nothing special.

This story jumps back to Reacher’s younger days still working as a Military Policeman. This plot was implausible even by Reacher standards with his beating up of bad guys only tenuously related to the storyline. Well read though and still with some entertainment value.

Not usual Reacher

If this was the first time I had listened to Reacher I’d say a good
Solid story. It’s just not Jack Reacher.
Good chance it will be my last new Reacher which was co-authored.
Jeff Harding excellent as usual

Classic Reacher elements in a less small town setting

A trip back in time for some Reacher back story. Helping understand the character a little more

convoluted plot so many characters

A couple of chics with attitude and fighting skills are out trying to find the mastermind behind their dads death. 7 of the eight scientists are killed by these chics and Reacher is trying to stop them. I am not saying don't read this book, its just that it is not up to Lee Child's standard. As usual Jeff Harding's performance is flawless and saves the book somewhat.

Good not great

Having read all the Reacher novels it is unfair to expect that I would love them all and I didn’t love this one. It was enjoyable but without the aplomb of the others. Narration was excellent.

Meh…

Not nearly as good as the older ones. After waiting so long I was a bit disappointed. Jeff Harding is still my favourite narrator, but the Reacher books written by Lee Child alone are still the best ones.
