Slow burn yet an interesting read
I put this story on 1.5 speed. I don’t normally like stories that are staged in bygone days, yet at the faster speed I really enjoyed the book. I’m really liking forward to the next one and to see where she takes the main character. I would recommend.

Amazing!
This book was amazingly written! I'm not sure what to say about this book! I listened to this as an audiobook and absolutely loved the narration, as well as the obviously time-affected wording that was used. It was a wonderful mixture of old and new that, with the English accent of the female narrator, added a whole nother level of complexity to the language. The romance is also amazing because it really digs into the concept of what a relationship is and how it maintains itself. I know my review is a lot more philosophical than it usually is, but when you read (or listen to) it I think you will understand why I write it like this. If you have read the blurb to this book and think you might like it then I would definitely suggest you give it a go. I hope you find you like this book just as much as I do. Enjoy!
