Nick Polizzi must be congratulated for this major body of work! I for one am grateful to him and all of those who participated. The shamanic insights within are real and earnestly portrayed, as is the personal history of the author. I felt myself there in that (initially) horrifying amazon jungle, isolated, alone at night being swamped by invisible sounds and swarmed by things that crawl.

The narration is conversational in style making it very easy to listen to. At times the detailed descriptions of medicines and rituals are reminiscent of Carlos Castaneda's classic series about his lengthy apprenticeship with Don Juan, only in this story, the people are real .... and the magic is real. The cocoa ritual, in particular, was vividly portrayed and very revealing with regard to shamanic practices. Such power.

This book gives us hope for the possibility of REAL transformation. Thank you Nick and crew, as a seeker I was thrilled to strike an oasis of truth and magic in your story.
