About this listen
Kate Webster is a loveable larrikin who likes to play hard now and worry about the consequences later. She can't help mucking up the opportunities life gives her. Rocked by the death of her mother, she takes on a dare at one of Australia's wildest rural social events - a Bachelors & Spinsters ball - to 'scalp' gorgeous farm boy Nick McDonnell. It's a dare that changes everything. For just as Kate is ready to start her new life, away from her grieving father and the pressures of the family farm, she discovers she is pregnant.
Now, several years later, with toddler Nell by her side, its time for Kate to come home to face the music - and the father of her child.

good story narration a bit annoying
overall good story but narrator was a bit annoying in places and didn't capture the Australian Essence.

The story was easy to follow and got straight in to it. I really enjoyed it and just wanted to find more time so I could listen to it.

Pretty good story but the narrator killed it
I did enjoy this very Australian story. Maybe a little young for me though (35) but would suit say a demographic of late teens/20's? But this could be due to the narrator. I felt lile I was being read to by a child. The voices put on were terrible, sometimes I couldn't hear her clearly and it just really killed the book. Such a shame, as a different narrator could of made this story shine.
