About this listen
Good people do bad things
Bad people do good things
Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference…
Gina's body has floated down the River Esk. She was a farmer's wife. And it looks like an accident.
But Michael Brady has his doubts.
Brady's back in the police–and he needs to prove himself.
Is it murder? Or does Brady need it to be murder?
It's a year since his wife died. He's feeling lonely. And he's still trying to balance being a single dad and being a Detective Chief Inspector.

Loved it but disappointed that the next books are not available. Great characters going to waste.

Great story
I liked the twists and turns but it was a bit complex in describing the situation for the readers/listeners, you need to give us a bit more credit as, I for one was ahead in thought and waiting for the author to catch up, so I suppose it was a bit predictable and I had guessed the murderer way ahead. I’m sure we all felt sorry for him and did not want him arrested. I did not like the constant use of the word “Christ”, I found it offensive and unnecessary. Apart from that, and if that is addressed, then I really look forward to the sequel and the development of the relationship between Michael and
? his lieutenant, I’ve forgotten her name already, and there are so many avenues to explore for the next instalment. I really hope there is one and I wish Audible would tell us at the end if there is a follow up and what it is called, it would make life so much easier for me.

repetitive
I couldn't finish this audiobook. The repeated explanation of the quite simple plot was too tiring. no character development, some relationships were nonsensical and far fetched.
