About this listen
One moment I'm the forgotten daughter of one of the most wealthy families in the country, and the next I'm the blushing bride in an arranged marriage. My fate is sealed in my wedded union with a complete stranger.
In public, Perry Constantine is the life of the party. Easygoing. Adored. In private, he's brooding. Dark. Angry. But so am I. It's a contest of wills to see who will break in the bedroom first, and while I try to remain strong, I find myself craving the very man I swore to hate.
My husband.
Contains mature themes.

Sound
The story is a forced marriage between two people in powerful families. I’ve read other Monica Murphy books and enjoyed them but this one just fell a bit flat. There were some things that the male said that literally made me cringe. It ended on a cliffhanger but I’m not going to read the next book. The actors did okay - however for some reason whenever it was the male audio, it would crackle and go between loud & quiet - didn’t matter if I listened through headphones or on a different device.

What the...
I would not call the ending of this book a cliffhanger, just the ending of a chapter that leaves you a bit disappointed. Story is carried over into book 2, but not enough interest for me to get it, ahh well. Male narrator does a great job, female narrator is a bit disjointed.
