About this listen
Heroic bookseller Laurent Letellier comes across an abandoned handbag on a Parisian street. There's nothing in the bag to indicate who it belongs to, although there's all sorts of other things in it. Laurent feels a strong impulse to find the owner and tries to puzzle together who she might be from the contents of the bag. Especially a red notebook with her jottings, which really makes him want to meet her. Without even a name to go on, and only a few of her possessions to help him, how is he to find one woman in a city of millions?

Delightful!!
The sort of romantic, sweet, quirky story only the French could write. You know you've found a favourite author when you don't want their books to end. The perfect story with perfect narration.

Such a weird, forced story with little character developments.
I don’t like the plot, or the characters. I was expecting some cultural connotations from this novel, unfortunately, I didn’t find any.

Haunting and memorable.
This story was one that will remain with you for days to come, its quaint descriptive passages and quiet style of drawing the reader onwards to anticipate the outcome of Laurent's search are heart renderingly endearing and memorable. For me it defines the loneliness of being single and awaking to awareness that something is missing in your life that could make it special.

Enjoyable Listen
An amusing little story , made very enjoyable by Alex Wyndham narration .
This narrator knows how to deliver a tongue in cheek comment or light humour in the right tone and manner .
Alex performs a typical excited/ bored teenage girl with as much ease as a foolish middle aged man on dating states who thinks he's a stud , and conveys the sensitivity and hesitations of the main character .
If this book is your style , it Is well narrated, fun dry humour .
