#1 Amazon Best Seller in Epic Fantasy

Long ago, the world fell into twilight, when the great empires of old consumed each other in sorcerous cataclysms. In the south, the Star Towers fell, swallowed by the sea, while the black glaciers descended upon the northern holdfasts, entombing the cities of Min-Ceruth in ice and sorcery. Then from the ancient empire of Menekar, the paladins of Ama came, putting every surviving sorcerer to the sword and cleansing their taint from the land for the radiant glory of their lord.

The pulse of magic slowed, fading like the heartbeat of a dying man.

But after a thousand years, it has begun to quicken again.

In a small fishing village, a boy with strange powers comes of age....

A young queen rises in the west, fanning the long-smoldering embers of magic into a blaze once more....

Something of great importance is stolen – or freed – from the mysterious Empire of Swords and Flowers....

And the immortals who survived the ancient cataclysms bestir themselves, casting about for why the world is suddenly changing....

The complete, award-winning epic series in one volume.

Brilliantly told fantasy epic.

Great story, well told. Voice actor was truly excellent and enhanced the story. very hard to put down. Magic, fantastic creatures, good, evil, politics, it is all here. Waited a long time to find a fantasy epic just like this.

From start to finish I loved everything about this series, the main characters where interesting and the evil that was unleashed really had me wanting more, had a hard time putting this down.

OK story marred by faulty recording.

Few things more annoying when listening to a story than mis-pronounced words. Quay pronounced 'Kway' instead of 'key'; ichor prounced 'ikker' instead of 'eye core', and magister pronounced 'majISTer' instead of MAJister to name a few. Also, some parts of the story out of sequence, particularly in Chapter 11 'Cho-Lin' in book three where it was particularly noticeable. other than that it was generally OK - started out a bit like a really bad B-grade movie and I nearly gave up on it, but persisted and it got better. Some of the accents were a bit OTT which was a little off-putting but survivable.

Disappointing to say the least

Frankly. Boring. Just stories within stories, no characters to really get attached to. Way too slow and boring. Lots of implied back story or wider universe with no explanation or details to make it actually interesting.
