About this listen
From New York Times bestselling author Susan Stoker comes a sizzling suspense about the romance that blossoms between two strangers during a snowstorm and the stalker who threatens them both.
Riggs “Chappy” Chapman didn’t expect to be disrupted at his remote cabin in the woods. But when a stray dog arrives on his porch, he winds up finding a stray woman, too, trudging through the snowstorm in search of shelter. His military days may be behind him, but Chappy is hardwired to protect her from the storm and whatever it is she’s running from.
Carlise Edwards didn’t expect her car to break down in the Maine wilderness. All she wants is to escape whoever is stalking her back home. There’s no way anyone’s going to find her and Chappy deep in the forest, especially not in dangerous weather. But she finds it hard to mind the circumstances when the company is this stimulating.
As the snowstorm rages, Chappy and Carlise find that, despite the cold, they can generate plenty of heat of their own…but there’s more than just natural dangers lurking in the woods.

Great story
This is a cute story of a girl who gets lost in the wilderness and is found by her mountain man. They are both beautiful souls who found each other. Ahhh my heart.

wonderful new story
just love Susan's books. have listened to all of them. it was lovely to have a fresh story with Susan's trope but in such a different setting. Dare I say Maine is simply perfect seeing as Ms Stoker virtually would know it upside-down by now.
It was an instalove story but had some refreshing twists and different approaches.
with an hour to go my spidey senses tingled and I started to work it out.
Baxter was awesome and I definitely want him around. some clever plotlines with a twist here and there.
Great pace, great romance and awesome writing. I was thrilled with a new series and emotions ran high in places Along with some sweet hotness.
thanks, Susan can't wait for book 2
Ryan and Ava were brilliant with their narration.

Wonderful
The first book in the series was as good as book 2 I somehow read first. Lovely interesting storyline that surprised me at times... not easy to do. Romance is great but not too many sex scenes that get boring after a while. Thank you. Cannot wait for the other two books. Best to read in order though are stand alones so doesn't really matter. I would like to hear how the men escaped but perhaps final two books will cover that. Thank you.
