bit ho hum

Good narrator but as a history loving reader I found some things hard to accept. Potatoes did not appear in Scotland until the mid 1700s. I was disappointed the writer missed some historical details.

The story I found quite lacking. 80% was of the 2 main characters professing undying love and having sex. Skipped quite a bit trying find some grit in the story.
