About this listen
I have been a property investor for over 18 years and I am here to help you solve the puzzle of property investment. My original intent in creating this book was to provide a guide for members of my family and close friends. By listening to this book, they will be better equipped to navigate the property market without relying on the expertise of outsiders who are often motivated by their own personal goals. I wanted those who are close to me to receive excellent advice from someone who has their best interests at heart, coupled with a wealth of experience and a proven track record of successfully investing in the property market through several differing economic climates.
After much contemplation, I realized that this book could also be of huge benefit to other people who wish to learn about property investing, to start investing or to improve their results from property investing. This realization led me to write this book for a much wider audience. My goal is to help individuals gain more awareness about this industry and ultimately achieve their own definition of success.
One of my main objectives is to help others avoid mistakes that could stunt their growth in the property industry. When I started out, I also needed guidance so I sought the help of others but there was no one I could trust or who had the knowledge to show me the best path to take. When taking out my very first mortgage I was advised by the lender's mortgage advisor to take out an endowment mortgage based on his assessment of my appetite for risk. Endowments were described to me as a savings pot and when making mortgage payments you would pay the interest on the loan and also pay an amount in to the pot that would be invested into steadily growing shares that would pay off the mortgage quicker than a repayment mortgage under normal circumstances.
